We’ve taken the famous and popular Kiwi Style Epic France Italy and flipped it on it’s head - starting in Italy and making our way into France. We start with the Italian Dolomites, featuring the Sella Ronda, then head into the Italian Alps for the highest climbs on this tour. We conclude our Italian experience at the stunning Lake Como before heading into the French Alps to tick off the famous climbs of Alpe d'Huez and Col du Galibier. The final stop on this tour is the spectacular area of Lake Annecy.
The Epic Italy France Tour starts with four nights at Cortina in the Dolomites, where the rides include the spectacular Sella Ronda - Passo Campolongo, Passo Gardena, Passo Sella and Passo Pordoi which offers one of the most dramatic backdrops you could ever cycle through and the Lake Misurina Loop. Then we head into the highest climbs of the tour, staying three nights at Bormio in the Italian Alps - riding the Passo della Stelvio at 2758m altitude and the Passo di Gavia at 2621m altitude. With the highest passes ticked off we head to Lake Como for two nights to enjoy the ultimate Italian lifestyle experience and a well deserved day off the bikes. The ride around Lake Como to Bellagio and the Passo della Ghisallo is one of our favourite stretches of road across all of our tours. Next we go across the border into the heart of the French Alps and climb the most mythical mountain in Tour de France history - Alpe d'Huez. We stay on Alpe d’Huez for two nights and tick off the Col du Lautaret and Col du Galibier. The final transfer is to St Jean de Sixt, near Lake Annecy where we spend our final three nights and ride the Col d’Arpettaz and enjoy a final ride around Lake Annecy.
